What fee do you charge?
My fee for writing and delivering a bespoke funeral ceremony is transparent and will be discussed during our initial contact. It covers our meetings, the writing of the personalised ceremony, and my presence on the day. Please contact me for a detailed quote tailored to your specific needs.
Will you visit us in our home for the initial consultation?
Yes, absolutely. I believe in providing comfort and convenience during this sensitive time. I am happy to meet with you in your home for our initial consultation, or at a location you prefer, to discuss your ideas for the day. If you prefer we can arrange our meeting via Zoom which is sometimes helpful if family members are at a distance.
How long does a typical funeral ceremony last?
A typical funeral ceremony I officiate lasts between 20-30 minutes, though this can be adjusted to your preferences. The focus is always on creating a ceremony that feels right for you and provides the space and time you require.
What if we don't know where to start with the eulogy?
Many families feel overwhelmed by this. As an instinctive storyteller, I will help you by asking gentle questions and listening to your memories. I'll then make these stories into a coherent and personal eulogy, ensuring your loved one's unique life is honestly told.
Will you liaise with the Funeral Director?
Yes, I will work closely with your chosen Funeral Director to ensure seamless coordination of the ceremony. My role is to alleviate as much stress as possible for you, so I can handle communication regarding timings, logistics, and any other specific requirements directly with them.
Can we include personal readings or music?
Absolutely. Personal readings, poems, music, and eulogies from family and friends are highly encouraged. These elements help to create a deeply personal and meaningful tribute, and I will guide you on how best to incorporate them.
Do you offer services for different types of burials/cremations?
Yes, whether you are planning a natural burial, a cremation, a traditional send-off, or something less conventional, I can tailor the ceremony to suit any setting and type of farewell, always putting your wishes at the heart of the service.
